www.obamapresidentialportraits.com is a new website dedicated to the creative and artistic celebration of the 2008 President Elect, Junior United States Senator Barack Obama.

The “Barack Obama Portrait” is an open visual forum whose aims are to promote the very best in contemporary creative image making—focusing on the iconic figure of Barack Obama. These images will be posted on the internet and an exhibition of selections will be hosted in a NYC space. The www.obamapresidentialportraits.com website is simply an exciting opportunity for all involved.

The competition and resulting exhibition will celebrate excellence and innovation, with a strong focus on the variety of portrait media used by artists today. The Barack Obama Portrait Competition welcomes all styles and mediums—from classical drawing and painting or hyper-realistic sculpture to large-scale photography to prints and new media.

We hope to receive digital image works of all kinds, especially what you can do right on your own computer. Please join us in celebration of Barack Obama by entering your work into the competition!
